Michael Reihana is a 34-year-old Dutch European Maori/Pacific island filmmaker. Michael has been making his own material for different clients for six years.  He currently writes, directs, & produces under his company name "MIKE LTD".   Michael began his career in the independent film industry in New York City in 1997 after having been a top chef in Sydney and Auckland New Zealand since the kitchen became his home from the young age of 15.
Michael worked his way into the grip, lighting & camera departments in New York, in order to learn the craft from the best filmmakers in the world.  He then continued working in the Industry in his home country of New Zealand.  His first directorial role was in 2002 with a short film and he has been directing on various projects ever since.
